Hi there – anyone have tips for creating longer tails on plucked sounds? I’m using the noise generator with 0 attack and a short delay, no sustain or release. In the resonator I have both filters set to 3 o’clock and the feedback just shy of 12 o’clock.
This provides maybe a second of tail. Not bad but I’d like something longer and more resonant.
I tried using a single shot sine wave to modulate the feedback amount, but that results in a solid tone of feedback which doesn’t sound like a string anymore.
One suggestion for the Morphor team: it would be nice if the feedback level had a fine grain control. The user could press some button which would shift the feedback knob into fine grain control. This might allow for longer tails without going into self-oscillation. Maybe that could happen in a firmer update.
Thanks everyone!
